Commercialization program "InnoBoost- Winter 2024" completed

With the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Technology Commercialization Center of Almaty Management University in partnership with the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Thunderbird School of Global Management organized the "InnoBoost- Winter 2024" program for commercialization of scientific projects.

The program was organized by the Technology Commercialization Center at the Almaty Management University together with the National Academy of Sciences under the President of Republic of Kazakhstan, Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University. The event was supported by the Akimat of Almaty represented by the Almaty Digitalization Department and MOST Business Intelligence.

The InnoBoost acceleration program is a specialized training program designed for scientific projects to commercialize R&D innovations into real business projects that can attract private sector investors.

The event lasted from January to March 2024. Based on the results of the work, the best projects received consultations and investments for their implementation.

The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, stressing the importance of commercialization development for Kazakhstan, and that universities and the business sector should support such acceleration programs as InnoBoost Winter 2024.

The Demo Day was held on March 28. The D.A.R detox drink project became a winner, the project was about waste-free milk processing and the production of a detox drink based on milk whey. Detox drink D.A.R is a specialized product of dietary preventive nutrition. The founder of the project, Akzharkyn Baitelieva, received a certificate for 500,000 tenge from the sponsors of the program. In addition, 5 projects: Askar Tleubaev with a CRM system for dental clinics, Igor Littig with G2G fusion combining fitness and gaming, Olzhas Dyusenov with a diet drink based on Chlorella microalgae, Zarina Aktayeva with the Central Asian project of a rehabilitation center for children with dysphasia, as well as Akmaral Bayteli with the Chemistry of Love project on production of domestic household environmentally friendly chemicals received a certificate from the special sponsor - ZiyatCare LLP for a patent support service in intellectual property registration for $ 1000.
