The session featured two distinguished guest speakers who brought valuable expertise and insights to the conversation:
Marge Sassi, an expert in leadership and management, who shared her extensive knowledge from her PhD research on performance evaluation in Estonia’s Cultural and Creative Industries. Marge currently teaches at Tallinn Technical University, where she works with students on leadership and management topics.
Dr. oec., Prof. Tatjana Volkova, a professor of Strategic Management, Innovation Management, and Strategic ICT Management at the BA School of Business and Finance. Prof. Volkova also holds a position as a guest professor at the Swiss Business School and is a leading researcher in her field. Her expertise in strategic management and innovation was a key highlight of the discussion.
The conversation centered on strategies for promoting faculty growth, focusing on ways to enhance teaching effectiveness, foster leadership skills, and encourage academic research. The speakers provided practical insights into how institutions can support their faculty in these areas, helping them to develop professionally and make meaningful contributions to both their institutions and the broader academic community.
The session also allowed for valuable networking among participants, with many sharing their own experiences and challenges regarding faculty development in their respective institutions. The informal format of the Conversations Over Coffee series continues to foster a collaborative and engaging environment for CEEMAN members to learn from one another.
As we continue with the Conversations Over Coffee series, we look forward to more enriching discussions and the opportunity to connect with our community. Stay tuned for future events and get ready for more insightful topics in the months to come!
