This is the highest decoration awarded by the Brazilian state to a foreign national, and is given to outstanding personalities who have made a significant contribution to strengthening international cooperation and friendship between the two countries. Brazil became for many reasons a special country to our President and to CEEMAN. In Rio de Janeiro in 2010, prof. Purg received the award “International Educator of the Year” from the Academy of International Business (AIB).
We are proud of our cooperation with Brazil, with which we collaborate through
CEEMAN - International Association for Management Development,
The Alliance of Management Development Associations in Emerging Economies and thorugh
IEDC - Bled School of Management. We are impressed by the technological and scientific achievements of Brazilian management professors and researchers. We enjoy the wisdom and cordiality of some great colleagues from Brazil, such as professors
Antonio Freitas and
Norman Arruda Filho from
FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. Prof. Freitas became a member of the board of CEEMAN, and together with Prof. de Paula Arruda Filho, Prof. Purg has been an active member of the UN PRME since the beginning.
Through CEEMAN, we have been cooperating also with the association
ANGRAD, which is part of the global "Alliance of Management Development Associations in Rising Economies", bringing together about 12.500 management schools from four continents. Alliance is coordinating a global research project on
Hidden Champions, the most innovative companies in the world in their niche. We are happy to collaborate with ANGRAD on this in order to present and promote Brazilian hidden champions through the books, conferences, and other events.
Muito obrigada, we are very honored!
