The new EU Business School (formerly European University) Design Management seminar began on Friday, October 12, 2012 and consists of four all-day monthly sessions to be concluded in January. Students who successfully complete this short program will receive a Certificate in Design Management from the university.
These seminars serve as a trial run for the EU Business School new Design Management bachelor’s program, which is to begin in the fall of 2013.
Both the certificate program as well as the major are being planned and executed under the direction of Pierre Keller. Keller – the former director of the Lausanne University of Art and Design (ECAL) – has handpicked the professors and the subjects to be covered throughout both programs in order to offer students a variety of styles and multidimensional points of view.
The third installment of this certificate program will also include a shorter session with Jean-Claude Biver, CEO and minority shareholder for Hublot. Biver has been extremely successful in rejuvenating the Blancpain and Omega brands, both currently owned by Swatch Group. Biver is also known for his own exclusive cheese.
This shorter session will be open to the public at large.
