How to build a sustainable startup in the era of artificial intelligence? A new digital guide from GreenDigiHub provides practical answers for young innovators across Europe. The Green Digital Hub for Startups and Social Enterprises (GreenDigiHub) project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, presents its newest publication – the Digital Guide for Sustainable Startups and Social Enterprises. The guide is designed as a practical tool to help young entrepreneurs create resilient, socially responsible, and future-oriented businesses

📘 About the research behind the guide
The content is based on an extensive field study that combined:

  • qualitative interviews and focus groups;
  • a quantitative survey among 29 entrepreneurs;
  • analysis of literature and good practices in Bulgaria, Lithuania, and Slovenia.

The findings reveal that 80% of startups rely on self-financing, while only 20% manage to benefit from EU funding, mainly due to administrative barriers. At the same time, 65% of young entrepreneurs already integrate AI tools into their business models, and sustainability is identified as a strategic priority for most of them.

🧭 15 actionable recommendations for green and digital startups
The guide summarizes these insights into 15 practical recommendations, written in accessible language and illustrated with real stories, expert tips, and tools for immediate application.

🌿 The Digital Guide also highlights emerging trends such as AI-driven innovation, circular economy practices, and the role of social enterprises in sustainable local development.
