📘 About the research behind the guide
The content is based on an extensive field study that combined:
- qualitative interviews and focus groups;
- a quantitative survey among 29 entrepreneurs;
- analysis of literature and good practices in Bulgaria, Lithuania, and Slovenia.
The findings reveal that 80% of startups rely on self-financing, while only 20% manage to benefit from EU funding, mainly due to administrative barriers. At the same time, 65% of young entrepreneurs already integrate AI tools into their business models, and sustainability is identified as a strategic priority for most of them.
