Dr.oec., prof. Tatjana Volkova receives a prestigious award

BA School of Business and Finance in Riga, Latvia, congratulates Dr. oec., prof. Tatjana Volkova on the prestigious award 2021 presented by the Latvian Association of Professors for an immense contribution towards the development of higher education in Latvia and abroad.

As a former rector of BA School of Business and Finance and the President of Rector’s Council of Latvia (2004 – 2011), Council member of European University Association (EUA) (2006 – 2010), prof. T.Volkova continues to enhance the development of the Higher Education Area in Europe and beyond.

Tatjana Volkova is a Professor of Strategic Management and Innovation Management at BA School of Business and Finance. Since 2015, she has been acting as the Chairman of the Study Accreditation Committee, the Licensing of Study Programs. She is currently the Chairman of the Study Quality Committee at Quality Agency for Higher Education in Latvia.

Since 2011, prof. T. Volkova is an expert of the European University Association's Institutional Assessment Program (EUA IEP) and the Chairman of the Steering Committee. For eight years, prof. T. Volkova has been acting as a member of the Swiss Accreditation Board.

Prof. T. Volkova is an international expert for the assessment of Quality Agencies for Higher Education and works in the field of quality evaluation of study programs and higher education institutions worldwide. Over the past 20 years, she has worked as an expert for quality assessment in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Central Asia in more than 30 countries. She has also delivered seminars on quality assessment.

Professor is an active researcher and an inspiring driver for doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers who successfully defended dissertations under her leadership in Latvia and abroad.
