On May 5, 2014, LinkedIn will celebrate its 11th birthday, a fact that shocks most people.
You may be confused because the rapid spike in popularity that LinkedIn has enjoyed in recent years gives the impression of a hip new start-up, not too far removed from its more fun-oriented cousins like Snapchat, Instagram or Facebook.
