This is how master’s program in finance at Kozminski University has been ranked by “Financial Times” in its list of “Masters in Finance 2012”, released on June 18 by the daily. The list contains 35 top schools from all over the world, including only one from Poland.

This is how master’s program in finance at Kozminski University has been ranked by “Financial Times” in its list of “Masters in Finance 2012”, released on June 18 by the daily. The list contains 35 top schools from all over the world, including only one from Poland.

Kozminski University finished ahead of well-known business schools: Washington University (ranked 24th), Durham Business School (25th), Bocconi University of Italy (27th), headed until recently by Prof. Mario Monti, the current Italian prime minister. Kozminski University was ranked just behind Spanish EADA (20th) and Erasmus University from the Netherlands (19th). The ranking’s top spot belongs to HEC Paris. Kozminski University moved one position up since 2011, from 22nd to 21st place.

In career rankings measured 3 years after graduation, alums of finances at Kozminski University have been ranked 11th. Kozminski University diploma helped them find good jobs and relatively high wages in a short time span: they report average annual salaries of USD 52.654. According to experts, career in financial sector in Poland is still among the most promising: banks in Poland are stable and well-run, they do not experience problems typical in other European countries, and they continue to grow, which means new job offers for specialists.

Earning a master’s degree in finances at a good school, supplemented by a solid experience in banking sector indeed open door to international careers. Kozminski University graduates find jobs not only in Poland and in European financial centers, but also in Eastern countries, in Asia, or in the Middle East region. Often they are much better qualified than other candidates, which is also a result of our extensive program. Our studies last two years, while majority of European schools offer 1-year programs, or even shorter 8-month courses – says Professor Krzysztof Kalicki, who combines lecturing at Kozminski University with CEO position at Deutsche Bank Polska.

Finance courses at Kozminski University are offered in Polish and in English. Kozminski University’s graduates of master’s studies in finance can also pursue their PhD, also in Polish and in English.
