WSB-NLU is steadily expanding its international presence, with Kazakhstan emerging as an important new direction for academic cooperation. A recent visit to Almaty Humanitarian and Economic University has opened the way for deeper collaboration, academic mobility, joint research and future educational initiatives.

Great academic partnerships rarely begin with a signature. They begin with a conversation, a shared idea and the willingness to look beyond borders.

At Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu – National Louis University (WSB-NLU), international cooperation is becoming an increasingly important part of the University’s development. WSB-NLU is actively building relationships with institutions in different regions of the world, creating new opportunities for students, academics and researchers to exchange knowledge, experience and perspectives.

One of the most promising directions of this international engagement is currently Kazakhstan.

As part of this growing cooperation, Rector Dariusz Woźniak and Chancellor Przemysław Bochenek visited Almaty Humanitarian and Economic University, where they met with the University’s leadership, including Rector Valery Anatolyevich Koryakov, First Vice-Rector Lidiya Moldabayevna Bekenova and Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Gauhar Zhumabekovna Seithamzina.

The meetings focused on far more than formal declarations of cooperation. The discussions centred on how both institutions can create tangible opportunities for their academic communities through student and staff mobility, joint research, educational projects, knowledge exchange and international academic initiatives.

The visit to Almaty marked an important step towards building a partnership designed to generate real academic value on both sides.

And the dialogue will soon continue in Poland.

On 17 October 2026, a representative of Almaty Humanitarian and Economic University will visit WSB-NLU in Nowy Sącz. The visit will take place on a particularly significant day in the University’s calendar, coinciding with the Official Inauguration of the 2026/2027 Academic Year and the celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of WSB-NLU.

One of the central moments of the visit will be the planned signing of a cooperation agreement between WSB-NLU and Almaty Humanitarian and Economic University. The agreement will provide a strong foundation for the next stage of the partnership and create a framework for future mobility programmes, research cooperation, joint educational initiatives and new international projects.

For WSB-NLU, cooperation with Kazakhstan is part of a broader vision of what a modern university should be: internationally connected, open to new perspectives and ready to turn institutional relationships into meaningful opportunities for people.

As WSB-NLU celebrates 35 years of its history, it is not only looking back at what has already been achieved. It is also looking outward — towards new partners, new regions and new possibilities.

Because internationalisation is not simply about crossing borders. It is about building bridges that allow knowledge, ideas and people to move between them.
