On 21 October 2019, the inQUBE University Business Incubator was opened by authorities of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business and representatives of the local government of Lower Silesia.

The uniqueness of this incubator is that it offers mot only space and basic office services, but also substantive support to start-ups based on the expert potential of the University, involving as many groups of recipients as possible:

1)      students and graduates (entrepreneurs or starting a business);

2)      researchers who want to run their start-ups, commercialize R&D work results, or solve real business problems in companies basing on their expert knowledge;

3)      entrepreneurs of both the SME sector and large companies.

It was not only about the integration of entrepreneurial people belonging to these three different social groups, but also about a holistic approach to cooperation between science and business, which in inQUBE is implemented in two ways. The first one concerns the approach to beginner entrepreneurs who want to start a business and who, from the moment of contact with inQUBE, are provided with comprehensive care, which does not consist only in providing access to the office, but also in substantive support. Meetings and integration workshops for the inQUBE community are planned, during which start-ups will exchange experiences and establish business contacts with each other.

The inQUBE operates in 3 main areas:

1) Start-up house and advisory services dedicated to start-up environment with the following infrastructure: 25 modern offices for rent, co-working space, including 100 workplaces, 60 seats in the seminar room, bar, reception desk, 5 meeting rooms, two relaxation zones, 2 kitchens.

2) The Centre for Knowledge Transfer and Innovation which mission is to act for the full use of the intellectual potential and research infrastructure by providing comprehensive support for the commercialization of intellectual property of the University. We hope, some innovations will be the beginning of new start-ups.

3) inQUBE Consulting offers consultancy services, engaging academics to solve real business problems.

Thus, it will join students, academics and entrepreneurs in numerous joint initiatives and result in real and very concrete science-business cooperation.

Students will have the opportunity to see how attractive is the career path as an entrepreneur and how much opportunities for self-fulfillment it gives.
