On September 29, the AlmaU School of Politics and Law hosted a guest lecture by Paolo Scorbello within the discipline of Sustainable Economics on the topic «ESG, the environment, & its discontents». Dr. Paolo Skorbelo is journalist & researcher living in Almaty since 2013. PhD from the University of Glasgow, where he focused on industrial relations in Kazakhstan's oil sector. He completed a 3-year post-doc at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. After having worked for more than a decade as a freelance journalist in Kazakhstan, he now serves as the English-language editor at Vlast.kz.
