Drs. Jimmy Naipaul and Zina Kyriakou from the International Executive School in Strasbourg, France, will present their research at the upcoming University-Industry Interaction Network (UIIN) Annual Conference in Amsterdam, set for June 10-12, 2025.
Dr. Naipaul will present his study, “Navigating the Digital Classroom: Guyanese Students' Perspectives on Technology Integration in Education.” This research provides an in-depth look at the challenges and opportunities faced by Guyanese students as digital technologies become more embedded in their classrooms. Dr. Naipaul’s findings offer valuable insights into how educational technology can be better implemented in developing regions and how it can enhance the student learning experience in these contexts. The study explores how technology can bridge gaps in education and help foster a more engaging and accessible learning environment for students in regions facing unique challenges.
Dr. Kyriakou will present “Industry Involvement in Curriculum Design and Delivery: The Perspective of Business Students in Myanmar.” In this research, she examines how business students in Myanmar perceive the role of industry in shaping their educational experience. The study highlights the impact of industry partnerships on students’ preparedness for the workforce and provides suggestions on how such collaborations can be strengthened to ensure more relevant and effective business education in the country. By understanding how students view these partnerships, the research aims to inform strategies that will make business education more aligned with the needs of the business world.
Both Dr. Naipaul and Dr. Kyriakou’s presentations address timely and pressing issues in education, contributing to the broader conversation on improving learning environments and aligning academic curricula with real-world needs. Their work will be valuable for anyone interested in the intersection of technology, industry, and education.
We look forward to their participation in the UIIN Conference and the opportunity to engage with an international community of researchers and educators on these important topics.
