Founded in 1955, the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi is one of the oldest business schools outside North America. The Institute was established as a business school in Karachi with the technical support from the Wharton School and the University of Southern California.

Over the years, the IBA has expanded from a purely graduate business school to offering a diverse list of six undergraduate, nine graduate and three PhD programs. The Institute recently launched three new schools namely, the School of Business Studies, the School of Economics and Social Sciences and the School of Mathematics and Computer Science.

The IBA has a student body of around 5,000 students and has two campuses located in Karachi. Today, it is one of the highest-ranked institutes in Pakistan, mainly for its business program, and is also one of the three Pakistani business schools to be awarded the coveted certification by the South Asian Quality System.

The Institute is proud to have academic and industrial linkages with world-renowned institutions of higher education including but not limited to IAE Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management in France; Macquarie University and University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in Australia; Sabanci University, Koç University, OSTIM Technical University and Bilkent University in Turkey; INCEIF and University of Malaya in Malaysia; SILC Business School in China and Instituto Universitario De Lisboa in Portugal.

IBA had been an active member of CEEMAN previously and now look forward to continue our engagement further.
