This year the Conference "Managing the Future" was dedicated to the topic “2020 + 1: Defining the New Rules” and focused on analyzing the world order after the pandemic. Among the speakers were: Björn Stenvers, the Netherlands (CEO of the Eye Care Foundation), Oleg Gurov, Russia (Founder and CEO of the Digital Ethics Centre), Antoniya Parapanova, Bulgaria (Founder and CEO, Amaze Corporate Events and Amaze-INK), Ilya Demidov, Russia (Head of the Department for Education Methodology and Development, Senezh campus, “Russia - country of opportunities”). The speakers shared the insights from industries that suffered from pandemic as well as challenges they face at the moment and how to cope with them.
The Conference program proceeded with workshops “Home Office to Home Studio – Become a Media. How to Make an Impactful Content” by Etien Yanev, Bulgaria (Global Head of Customer Content at Atos Unify), and “Neuromarketing - Technology of the Future. How to Understand Your Client” by Marina Korolyova, Russia (neurophysiologist, leading expert at Neurotrend).
The final session of the Conference was dedicated to student reports, divided into 4 sections:
- Agile Business: Digital Technologies and Tools for Production Management in the Post-COVID World
- Management of Isolation: Benefits and Threats of Transferring Business and Teams to a Virtual Environment
- Tools for the New Ecosystem of an Individual: Communications, Online vs Offline Balance, Health and Safety
- Tourism of the Future and the Future of Tourism
More than 70 students from Serbia, Moldova, Armenia, Ukraine as well as from 12 cities of Russia presented submitted their papers for the Conference, 38 of which spoke at the Conference with their reports.
One of the Conference speakers, Vladislava Konop, student of the Academy of Economics in Moldova, shared her expressions:
“The conference was held at the highest level and interaction with speakers and participants were very active and open. It was great to hear the opinion of experts from different countries - there is something to think about.”
Here is the feedback from the session moderator, Arina Fadeeva, Senior Lecturer at IIM RANEPA:
“The IIM Conference 2021 was truly one of the most memorable events of the spring semester. The topics discussed and the speeches of the experts aroused great interest among the students and resulted in discussions after each presentation. It is very encouraging that students immerse into the scientific community from the very early years of study.”
The Conference ended with certificates award to speakers, participants and scientific advisers that would complement students’ and teachers’ portfolio. The Conference reports collection is indexed in RSCI (Russian Science Citation Index).
