International Cooperation Forum on Business Education Concludes Successfully in Xi'an, China

Global Leaders in Business Education and Industry Gathered to Drive Innovation and Collaboration Xi'an, China – The International Cooperation Forum on Business Education, held from December 2-4, 2024, at Xi'an Jiaotong University, brought together around 100 academic leaders, policymakers, and industry representatives from 16 countries to explore the future of management education in an increasingly globalized world. Hosted by the School of Management at Xi'an Jiaotong University and co-organized with CEEMAN – the International Association for Management Development in Dynamic Societies – the forum fostered meaningful discussions, ranging from keynote sessions to practical panels, while offering unique networking opportunities. It highlighted innovative approaches and paved the way for new avenues of international collaboration and global partnerships.

The event was a success, offering participants from around the world an invaluable platform to engage with pressing issues in management education. From insightful keynotes to collaborative panels and interactive discussions, the forum left a lasting impact on all attendees.

  • Keynote Speeches: Distinguished speakers, including Prof. Gengzhong Feng, Dean of the School of Management at Xi'an Jiaotong University, CEEMAN President Prof. Danica Purg, Xiaobo Wu, CEEMAN Vice President for China and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Zhejiang University, shared insights on the role of management education in driving community impact and innovation. Derek Abell, Founding President of ESMT and President of the CEEMAN IQA Committee, delivered an inspiring lecture on "Management Education at the Crossroads: Resurrecting Relevance or Risking a Dead End."
  • In-depth Panel Discussions: A series of thought-provoking panels addressed critical topics, including academia-business collaboration, the role of accreditation in strengthening management schools, and strategies to enhance global competitiveness.   • Presidents’ & Deans’ Panel and World Café: These sessions provided a platform for high-level dialogue on emerging trends in management education and opportunities for collaboration.
