The Rector of RANEPA Vladimir Mau addressed the participants of the forum with a welcoming speech. Thanking the DFB staff, the Rector noted: "We all know how difficult this profession is, especially considering how many changes have been taking place recently. But throughout all these years, you have managed to be in demand in the education market. I have always admired those who deal with financial topics. This is especially true now, at a time when finance is undergoing a radical transformation."

The Vice-Rector of RANEPA Maxim Nazarov noted the initiatives of the DFB, innovative approaches in teaching, which made it possible to gain recognition in Russia and abroad. He also noted the ability of the DFB team to work consistently within the framework of the Academy's Development Strategy.

The Vice-Rector of RANEPA Sergey Myasoedov in a video message drew attention to the fact that the DFB is the only Faculty with CEEMAN institutional accreditation, and congratulated the team on the high achievements of graduates.

Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Abel Aganbegyan (Rector 1989-2002), Head of the Department of Economic Theory and Politics of the RANEPA noted that in a very short but fruitful period it was possible to create one of the leading faculties in finance and banking in our country.

Congratulations on the 20th anniversary were sent to the faculty by representatives of the State Duma, the Bank of Russia, the Association of Banks of Russia, the SKOLKOVO Business School, partners from Russia, Italy, Switzerland, Great Britain, India, France, Monaco and others.

The forum included 4 sections: Global Financial Architecture: Trust and Diplomacy, Platform Economy, Global Financial Initiatives, Innovation and Technology, Women Leaders: Potential, opportunity, Success.

Dean of the DFB Seda Nasibyan in her speech focused on the achievements over the past 20 years: it was possible to harmonize the requirements of the professional community and educational standards, synchronize training programs for adults and youth, introduce software products, integrate training for international certifications into the educational process, ensure high demand for graduates, achieve high academic reputation, receive international and national recognition CEEMAN, ACCA, CIMA, NASDOBR, SPKFR, etc. Currently, the DFB is part of the AACSB accreditation process. The DFB has become a permanent platform for open discussion of significant financial initiatives for sustainable development.

Seda Nasibyan outlined seven challenges to financial education, taking into account trends in the financial sector: digital transformation, platforms and ecosystems, new data processing technologies (Big Data), industry 5.0, artificial intelligence and regulatory norms; UN financial initiatives (green economy, ESG business transformation, responsible investment, financial leadership); increasing competition between universities and new players; replacement of traditional professions with specialists with system competencies; platform employment.

The answers to challenges and opportunities were outlined, including actions and activities carried out by the DFB to achieve the strategic goal of Becoming the best Center for the formation of highly qualified specialists capable of ensuring a sustainable future of the financial system.

At the end of the forum, the anthem of the Department, written for the DFB by Alexander Zhurbin, was played.
