The internship in Spain took place at The Catholic University of Saint Anthony (UCAM, Murcia), while in the Netherlands the interns were accepted by the Netherlands Business Academy (NLBA, Dordrecht).
What were the benefits of the internship? Familiarity with international experience is invaluable.
The trainees listened to the lectures delivered by Spanish and Dutch mediation specialists (practicing mediators and professors), were acquainted with the justice system of the Netherlands and Spain, practiced skills in simulations and solving study mediation cases, and studied the features of intercultural mediation and learning. They also practiced digital mediation, mastered the peculiarities of corporate diplomacy and the use of mediation technologies in commercial activities on the example of Spanish companies with a rich history, learned about the peculiarities of commercial law and the use of alternative dispute resolution tools, and much more.
Our students met and worked with the leading mediators of the Netherlands: Prof. Jan van Zwieten, Gea van Klompenburg, Marjon Kuipers, representatives of the Bureau of Mediation and the Court of the Netherlands, learned about the peculiarities of criminal cases on the example of the practice of mediator Prof. Dana Rone from Latvia, and modern mediation practice cases from Spain specialists - Prof. Manuel Egea, Prof. Jose Ruiz, Prof. Alejandro Zornoza.

Together with our students from Ukraine (three Universities), students from Azerbaijan and Georgia also took part in the internship, which gave all an opportunity to share experience in implementing and conducting mediation in different countries.
In the last days of the internship, all our students passed the assessment conducted by the International Master Mediation Federation. According to the results of this assessment, students received Diplomas of the following levels - International certified mediator and International Counsellor of Mediation. We are proud of our students and graduates of the master's program "Mediation and Conflict Management", because they worthily represented KROK Business School KROK at the international level.
It is through the study of international experience in combination with national, that the skills of a mediator are formed. That can be learned only in a long-term program which provides a lot of practice, strong academic training, creating your own research, writing articles and international experience. All of this is part of the program "Master of Mediation and Conflict Management".
The third group of the Master of Mediation and Conflict Management program began its studies in November 2021. Mastering conflict management skills is becoming increasingly important in Ukraine after the adoption of the Law of Ukraine "On Mediation" on November 16, 2021.
