Kazakhstan-Netherlands: business partnership perspectives

On the 27th of November, 2014 a roundtable session “Kazakhstan-Netherlands: business partnership perspectives” was held in the Almaty with the participation of Almaty Management University honorary professor, Senator of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, former President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Mr. Rene van der Linden.

On the 27th of November, 2014 a roundtable session “Kazakhstan-Netherlands: business partnership perspectives” was held in the Almaty with the participation of Almaty Management University honorary professor, Senator of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, former President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Mr. Rene van der Linden.

The round table was attended by His Excellency Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Kazakhstan Hans Drisser, President of Alma University Assylbek Kozhakhmetov, Advisor to the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands David Kramer, President of the Eurasian Association of franchising Beknur Kissikov, CEO of «MASAT bv» Erol Sisanovik, entrepreneurs from the Netherlands, Alma University- MSM dual MBA degree programme graduates and students, as well as representatives of Almaty Management University.

During the meeting, the Dutch entrepreneurs gave a brief information about the activities and directions of their companies’ development, as well as the prospects of economic sectors in their country. There was a presentation delivered by graduates of MBA MSM - Alma University, they told about the benefits of the program, their expectations and results at the end of the programme.

There were a number of measures proposed to develop contacts between Dutch and Kazakh business during the discussion. Also during the meeting, the creation of the Kazakh-Dutch Business Council was announced, the 1st meeting of which was held in Astana. 

Alma University was the only institution, which has been invited to the international round table, thanks to many years of successful cooperation with the Maastricht School of Management. 

Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Hans Drisser expressed a wish to visit Alma University campus and to deliver a lecture to students and faculty of the university in the framework of the “Ambassador Hour”.
