Prof.Marek Rocki, econometrist from Collegium of Economic Analysis, has been elected Rector of SGH Warsaw School of Economics in May 2016. This will be prof.Rocki’s second time in position of SGH Rector. Previously, he was elected for the office between 1999 and 2005. Since 2005, prof.Rocki serves as Senator of the Republic of Poland. He is a graduate of SGH and obtained his Master, doctoral and postdoctoral titles at our university.
In his work, prof.Marek Rocki will be assisted by a team of deputies: Vice-rector for Academic Affairs prof.Krzysztof Kozłowski, Vice-rector for Research and Management prof.Piotr Wachowiak, Vice-rector for International Relations Jacek Prokop and Vice-rector for collaboration with industry prof.Hanna Godlewska-Majkowska.
Prof.Rocki will succeed the current SGH Rector prof.Tomasz Szapiro and assume his position on 1 September 2016.
