Last week, more than 150 representatives of higher education institutions, businesses and other organizations participated in the 26th CEEMAN Annual Conference at the Vienna House Diplomat in Prague, Czech Republic.

CEEMAN is proud to announce the winners of the 2018 CEEMAN Champion Awards. Launched in 2010, the annual CEEMAN Champions Awards recognize and promote outstanding achievements of faculty, management, and staff from CEEMAN member institutions in the categories of teaching, research, institutional management, and responsible management education.

CEEMAN and Emerald Group Publishing are proud to announce the winners of the 24th annual Case Writing Competition. After careful deliberation, the panel of three judges, professors Vladimir Nanut, MIB School of Management, Italy; Al Rosenbloom, Dominican University, USA; and Leif Sjoblom, IMD, Switzerland, has selected the following winners:

CEEMAN has been working with several partners on the Lead4Skills research project on management development needs and is now proud to present the project outcomes!

The world in which real managers live is becoming increasingly complex and challenging as technological change accelerates, digitalization and globalization upend one market after another, and responsibilities "beyond the bottom line" multiply. However, even though rumblings of dissatisfaction with management education and research have been occurring for the last 20 or so years, the majority of management development institutions, influenced by various external and internal forces, still have not been able to shift their focus from scientific research to impactful teaching, from disciplinary approach in their curriculum to holistic and cross-disciplinary program design, or from academic peer recognition to stronger bridge building to the business community. A consensus seems to be emerging around the world that a change of course in management development is long overdue and increasingly imperative.

CEEMAN is characterized by diversity, and our member institutions are continuously going through changes caused by the development of the institution as such and/or by the fast changing environment. There is vast collective and individual expertise within the network, and many issues of common interest that deans from our member institutions could share with each other. Partially, we enable this exchange through our conferences and other events. CEEMAN IQA accreditation system helps institutions develop in a more structured and formal way, addressing all aspects of institutional performance. However, often more individual support is needed and can be especially of great help for new generations of institutional leaders.

From 17-28 June 2018, twenty-eight educators from 15 countries joined CEEMAN’s IMTA-International Management Teachers Academy in Bled, Slovenia and assumed the role of students once more in order to gain valuable insights on how to develop their curricula, course design, teaching materials, and in particular on how to improve their teaching skills and methods.

CEEMAN is delighted to announce that it is one of the official partners of the 5th Responsible Management Education Research Conference which will take place in Cologne, Germany on 12-13 November 2018 - just before the 8th International Conference on Sustainability & Responsibility (14-16 November).

The 19th edition of CEEMAN's flagship IMTA-International Management Teachers Academy has started in Bled on 18 June. Over the course of two weeks, 28 participants from Belarus, China, Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, Georgia, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, and Ukraine will have a chance to improve their teaching skills, methods and materials.

The Lead4Skills partnership led by CEEMAN presented its latest research findings and recommendations at the Conference on Management Development Needs on 15 and 16 June in Bled, Slovenia at the premises of IEDC-Bled School of Management.
