Peregrine Academic Services announced that they have obtained a cooperative agreement to deliver Bloomberg Media’s B-School Connection program and expand the distribution of Bloomberg Businessweek and Business Briefs to the global higher education sector. The agreement allows Peregrine to market and distribute the program for Bloomberg Media using Peregrine’s global network and distribution channels. In addition to the direct sales of Bloomberg Businessweek to higher education institutions, Peregrine intends to leverage the program with its existing service portfolio and provide comprehensive educational support services.
Bloomberg Media established the B-School Connection program for business schools in order to bring practical and contemporary lessons into the academic classroom. The program incorporates student and faculty resources based upon the weekly Bloomberg Businessweek publication. The success of the B-School Connection has been evident through its growing number of participating higher education institutions throughout the US, which currently includes more than 150 business schools and programs.
Peregrine Academic Services, a globally recognized leader in providing online services for institutions of higher education, will take over the distribution and future program development of the B-School Connection beginning July 1, 2016. The company is excited to add the Bloomberg program to its portfolio of existing services for creating and sustaining quality in higher education.
“Our network of client schools, which includes more than 300 higher education institutions located in the US and abroad in 35 countries, allows us to expand significantly the global reach of the B-School Connection” said Olin Oedekoven, President and CEO of Peregrine Academic Services. Oedekoven further added that, “We can leverage our existing service offerings, which include programmatic assessment and student learning services, for more comprehensive support to higher education.”
The B-School Connection offers contemporary learning resources to both students and faculty. Weekly instructor guides and Bloomberg Businessweek article reviews, which are written by expert faculty from leading business schools, include discussion questions that allow for practical application of course concepts in the classroom. "We look forward to expanding the footprint of Bloomberg Businessweek across the international university market through Peregrine's network,” says Lawrence Diamond, GM of Print Operations for Bloomberg Media. “With its award winning and insightful coverage of each week's most important global business events, Bloomberg Businessweek is an excellent tool to bring classroom learning to life in real time events and business issues.”
The B-School Connection EDGE Guide is a competency-based tool providing active learning exercises and case studies designed to engage students and help them apply course concepts. The Bloomberg’s Resource Center offers weekly readings categorized for easy access to current events related to business disciplines, competencies, and world regions. Students also access career development resources and use a career self-assessment tool that complement the career readiness courses currently offered by Peregrine Academic Services.
