On 25th-26th May 2023, Lodz University of Technology will have the privilege of hosting the International Symposium on Universities and Climate Change: The Contribution of Higher Education in Handling Climate Change, organized by the International Climate Change Information and Research Programme (ICCIRP), the European School of Sustainability Science and Research (ESSSR), the Inter-University Sustainable Development Research Programme, the UK Consortium for Sustainability Research (UK-CSR). The event is organized in cooperation with the Baltic University Programme, which is a network of universities bringing together the Baltic Sea countries. This unique event is a very nice opportunity to bring university staff working with climate change together, discuss how research-intensive and how practice-oriented their activities are, and to promote their work to a world audience.
Please feel invited to contribute to this event by attending it and presenting your work and advances on the topic. You are also kindly asked to share this information with your friends and colleagues who may be interested in the event or within your scientific networks.
As an output of the event, the book "The Contribution of Higher Education to Climate Change" will be produced with all accepted papers. This will be published by Springer, as part of the world´s leading, peer-reviewed book series on climate change management: https://www.springer.com/series/8740.
