IAB students have been given an opportunity to leave their CVs with representatives of companies, get consultancy over possible future employment and have a preliminary job interview. When opening the job fair the University’s Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs Nurzhamal Duisengulova thanked participating companies for their support in arranging the job fair. She also emphasized that companies don’t only employ IAB graduates, but also help the students to do their work placements: «We see in you partners who believe in IAB as a bona fide provider of human resources in the labour market», - N. Duisengulova said. The Vice-Chancellor also addressed students and graduates and said that their behavior and how they were going to prove themselves while conversing with employers will determine both their future and the image of IAB.
Overall, 52 companies – significantly more than last year (36) – took part in the fair. Director of KEGOC office in Almaty Marat Kalmenov emphasized that KEGOC had been participating in the IAB job fair for a few times in the past, thanked the Careers Planning Centre and said that the orgsanisation of the event was at a high level.

EY representative Maria Lyubushkina said that students and graduates added up to 90% of people that they were recruiting: «We are very close partners with IAB and we hope that after this job fair our cooperation will be even tighter», - M. Lyubushkina said.
Companies, who have been supporting the organization of the job fair over a number of years, were given letters of thanks. IAB’s permanent partners include Centras Securities, EY, Rixos Almaty, Alliance Bank Kazakhstan, Valut-Transit Bank, Eurasian Bank, Raimbek-Bottlers, Ritz Carlton and Sberbank.
A series of useful and informative workshops were conducted at the job fair by HeadHunter.kz and Bureau of Education Technology «UniverSity».
International Academy of Business has held the job fair on an annual basis, giving the university graduates an excellent opportunity to familiarize themselves with employers and enable companies to select their future staff out of young and promising students.
