The event began with a warm welcome, where screens displayed the library’s best projects, inspiring new ideas. Vice-Rector for Communications and Student Development D. T. Mardanov delivered an opening speech, setting a positive tone. AlmaU Library Director Y. V. Kolchina presented a report on AlmaU Open Library’s activities, highlighting successful projects and ambitious goals for 2025. The presentation sparked great interest, leading to engaging discussions about future collaborations.
Cultural and Educational Highlights
The cultural program featured a musical performance by T. Thomasov, leader of the band “Vegetables and Fruits”, and poetry readings by E. Koroleva, creating a warm and creative atmosphere.
During the announcement of new projects:
- AlmaU professor V. Novikov captivated guests with insights on AI applications in modern life.
- S. Sibanbaeva from the School of Digital Technologies introduced a computer course for seniors, showcasing AlmaU’s commitment to inclusive education.
- E. Voronova, a family psychologist and bibliotherapist, presented a project on bibliotherapy, demonstrating how books can enhance well-being.
The interactive part of the event was particularly engaging:
- A flash mob by the AlmaU Open Library team energized the audience.
- The "Biblio Battle" quiz turned into an exciting intellectual competition with prizes.
The event concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere with a buffet, where light background music played, and guests continued to discuss ideas and plans. D. T. Mardanov and Y. V. Kolchina expressed gratitude to all participants for their contributions to AlmaU Open Library’s growth.
