Kyiv-Mohyla Business School [kmbs] became the educational partner of the Young SDG Innovators Programme – the global initiative for leading young professionals, who are to create innovative solutions for implementing the Sustainable Development goals in their companies. The Programme launches the first time by UN Global Compact Network in 10 countries.
The official kickoff took place in kmbs in October 2019 and gathered representatives of ten Ukrainian companies: E&Y, EPAM, Energoatom, DTEK, Yes Straws, Astarta, FUIB, Alfa Bank, FILM.UA, Farmak.
Osnat Lubrani, the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Ukraine, welcomed participants of the Programme and indicated the importance of innovation and cooperation between different sectors to thrive for progress on the Sustainable Development Goals and overall success of Ukraine.
Indeed, the Young SDG Innovators Programme greatly benefits Ukrainian companies. Shared knowledge from the global expert network will help them to tackle sustainability challenges, as well as increase employees' engagement inside the organization. As for the young innovators, they get a chance to exchange the experience with a global community of like-minders, level-up their skills, and bring the best practices in Ukraine.
During the Programme, participants will take part in different learning activities, such as online and offline sessions, in-person workshops, case studies, company visits, and forum discussions. The key outcome of the Programme is a hands-on project that moves participants' companies toward the Sustainable Development Goals implementation.
In the role of the educational partner, kmbs invited the MBA Alumni to join the team of mentors and experts who will support participants during the Programme. Among them are Dmytro Shestakov, Vitaliy Vereschagin, and Olga Levitan.
Innovators will work on their projects for ten months and will present the results this year in New York, USA.
