Vistula University has launched a new programme of post-graduate studies ‘MBA – Diplomacy’

The program of post-graduate studies ‘MBA – Diplomacy’ is addressed to people who want to develop and manage international co-operation in local government units, business, non-governmental organisations, cultural and sports institutions, medical entities, and in the higher education sector, or who are already doing it and want to develop their competences. The partner is Paweł Adamowicz Civic Study Centre.

The modern world no longer limits international contacts to foreign policy conducted by states. The number of participants in international cooperation is growing, in which a growing role is played by: local governments, economic entities, non-governmental organizations, cultural institutions, sports clubs, entities from the higher education sector and medical entities. Their deliberate and coordinated activities within the framework of international cooperation are called paradiplomacy. Activity in building and developing comprehensive international cooperation translates into attracting foreign investments, acquiring funds from the European Union, organizing international exhibitions and fairs, creating artistic events as well as sports and youth events.

The aim of the program is to educate a group of professional managers in the structure of local government, high-class specialists in enterprises, experts for non-governmental organizations and ambassadors of culture and sport who will be able to effectively manage international cooperation. We will achieve this goal by providing the highest quality knowledge and experience of our experts and inspiring case studies and workshops based on sharing the best experiences.

The study program includes 305 teaching hours carried out over three semesters in the not staged: in the form of a hybrid of online (80%) and full-time classes at the university in Warsaw and the last conference in Gdańsk (20%).

The MBA graduate will be a leader initiating changes in the field of international cooperation, able to build and manage teams responsible for the implementation of this cooperation and planning strategic activities based on the policy of the local government, company, non-governmental organizations, cultural institutions, universities, sports clubs and medical entities. For this purpose, you can will acquire knowledge, develop skills and increase social competences in the area of ​​initiating, managing and developing foreign cooperation. With regard to the area of ​​knowledge, the graduate will learn formal and political issues regarding the possibility of organizing cooperation, obtaining funds and building regional and supra-regional partnerships. In which case, with regard to skills, the key will be the practical application of elements of the diplomatic protocol, communication management, organization and coordination of meetings, as well as preparation and management of projects in international partnership. Social competences will be equally important as the knowledge and skills for the graduate of the studies. In this field, you can will increase his awareness of the possibilities offered by paradiplomacy and will be ready to present attitudes allowing for building and managing international projects.
