We are pleased to announce that on 21 November 2025, during the Economic Challenges Forum – Symbol 2025, the Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu – National Louis University was awarded the title “Symbol of Science and Business Synergy 2025.” The distinction was received on behalf of the University by the Dean, Dr Jerzy Choroszczak, Professor at WSB-NLU.
The Economic Challenges Forum Symbol is an event that brings together the worlds of business, academia, and public institutions. Its 15th, jubilee edition gathered leaders, experts, and practitioners, creating a space for exchanging experiences, presenting best practices, and discussing the future of the Polish economy.
The programme included a series of discussion panels. One of them featured the Dean of WSB-NLU, participating in a session titled “Synergy of Science and Business After the First Quarter of the New Millennium.”
The conversation explored a wide range of topics related to modern cooperation between science and business. Participants discussed how fundamental research is now transformed into applied projects and how to effectively build pathways that allow scientific ideas to develop into concrete solutions implemented on the market. The discussion also highlighted the role of academia in supporting industrial processes, particularly in the areas of automation, robotics, and the broader economic transformation.
Another important theme was the use of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies in shaping the future of science and the economy, with particular emphasis on the ethical challenges arising from their rapid development. The panellists pointed to the growing importance of technology transfer centres as key components of the fourth industrial revolution, enabling effective integration of universities’ research potential with the needs of enterprises.
