Event of the month:

Embrace the Challenges, Chase the Light. On the afternoon of June 29, ZIBS 2024 Graduates Farewell Party was held at ZIBS Lobby Hall. Over 170 graduates, along with their families, professors, and representatives from ZIBS partners, ecosystem organizations, and industry, attended the event.

Message from Dean

I believe most of you would agree with me that the world today has fewer sunny days and more rainy ones, geopolitical conflicts, rivalry in economics and trade, and rapid progress in science and technology... In this context, I'd like to share a word that I have heard too many times recently - "overcapacity." Overcapacity is not necessarily a curse or a pure cost; it is insurance for unforeseen circumstances or just-in-case events.

Take Gaokao or any other exams you had for example. You cannot prepare for only what's on the exam, you have to study beyond the scope and push yourself harder than the bare minimum. That's how you can achieve something favorable. And that's what brings you here at ZIBS. Life is not a fixed course with a clear syllabus; you cannot complain if the questions and problems you will face are going off the syllabus. More importantly, overcapacity is more than just insurance - it's an investment for the future. So, my best wish for all of you is that you have invested to build up your overcapacity in your career and life. These efforts will one day sharpen your "Dual Vector Foil", empowering you for a dimensional strike.( Based on the speech given by Prof. BEN at the 2024 ZIBS Graduates Farewell Party)
