Message from Dean

In its pursuit of globalization, ZIBS has built a truly international advisory board – IAB, composed of distinguished leaders from industry, business, academia, and government. Our faculty represents a balance of depth and diversity — alongside professors specializing in marketing, accounting, and economics, ZIBS places strong emphasis on recruiting scholars with interdisciplinary expertise, which is vital to its long-term, sustainable growth. Partnerships with industry also play a central role in ZIBS development. Collaborations such as the one with Zhejiang Zhongnan Group demonstrate the value of aligning academic research and talent development with real-world needs. Universities often face the challenge of bridging the gap between theory and practice; therefore, effective collaboration among business, government, and academia is essential. Zhejiang’s integrated innovation model — combining policy, industry, academia, research, and entrepreneurship — provides a strong foundation for fostering academic and technological innovation. For ZIBS, this means advancing an integrated system for science, technology, and finance to better support the education of globally oriented, innovation-driven leaders.

The recently released Global FinTech Hub Report 2025, launched during the Beijing Financial Street Forum, reinforces this message: sustainable innovation depends on cross-sector collaboration and global partnerships. As emerging technologies such as generative AI, quantum computing, and blockchain continue to reshape the global fintech landscape, ZIBS remains committed to its mission as a science and technology-focused global business school. We will continue to build on our global ecosystem, deepen collaboration with IAB members, and leverage our interdisciplinary strengths to embrace technological transformation — contributing fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the future of global fintech.
