Durres, Albania – 26 September 2025 – The 33rd CEEMAN Annual Conference, held in partnership with AVIS Albania, is concluding today in Durres, Albania after three days of high-level discussions, institutional networking, and knowledge exchange. Under the theme “The Role of Business Schools in a New World Order,” the event gathered 115 leaders from academia, business, and policy representing 28 countries.

Over the past two days, participants took part in interactive roundtables, panel sessions, and company visits that explored how business schools can adapt to technological disruption, geopolitical shifts, and ongoing societal transformation. Faculty and researchers also presented their work during a poster session, and CEEMAN members gathered for the organization’s annual general meeting, reaffirming their commitment to advancing responsible and impactful management education.

The conference also had the honor of welcoming Olta Manjani, PhD, Deputy Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation of Albania, who joined a panel discussion alongside Sean Meehan, with Gazmend Haxhia serving as moderator.

Founded in 1993, CEEMAN—the International Association for Management Development in Dynamic Societies—has grown from a regional initiative into a truly global platform, promoting excellence, innovation, and relevance in management education, with particular emphasis on emerging markets and economies in transition.

“We live in times of geopolitical shifts, technological acceleration, and uncertainty. And yet, as we came together, I felt the power of community—the CEEMAN family—that gives me confidence we can respond to these challenges with creativity, responsibility, and courage,” said Prof. Danica Purg, CEEMAN President.

Gazmend Haxhia, President of AVIS Albania, welcomed participants as the host of this year’s conference, noting Albania’s unique role as a bridge between cultures and regions, and as a dynamic setting for global dialogue on the future of business education.

The final day of the conference features additional panel discussions and will close with a formal ceremony celebrating CEEMAN’s achievements and its continued mission to foster collaboration and innovation across management education worldwide.

Widely recognized as one of the most influential gatherings in international business education, the CEEMAN Annual Conference continues to serve as a leading platform for exploring how schools can shape resilient, ethical, and future-ready leaders for a rapidly changing world.

A heartfelt thank you to all our participants, partners, and especially our generous sponsors: AVIS, Landways, Coca-Cola, Alpacem, Krka, Brotech Brands, and FM Reklama.
