On Thursday, October 11, 2012, the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) had a pleasure to host Thomas C. Schelling, a laureate of the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences. Professor Schelling was awarded the prize in 2005 (shared with Robert Aumann) for "having enhanced our understanding of conflict and cooperation through game-theory analysis".

On 4th October was the opening ceremony of the new academic year of EBS Helsinki in the main hall of EBS in Tallinn. The students were welcomed by the Minister of the Embassy of the Republic of Finland, Ms Heli Kanerva. This autumn there are 63 new students who start their studies at EBS Helsinki which amounts to 130 students in total.

On September 27th EBS Rector Professor Arno Almann gave an Oath of Office on an official inauguration ceremony in Estonian Business School. The Rector was collared with the Chain of Office by Rector Emeritus Peeter Kross. Arno Almann became the 5th leader of EBS. In 2013 Estonian Business School celebrates its 25th anniversary.

EU Business School held its fifth annual Oktoberfest Alumni Event on Friday, September 28, 2012. Alumni were lines up in front of Käfer Wies’n-Schänke where they took a few minutes to catch up with old professors, ex-classmates and their hosts, the Craen family.
