CEEMAN is glad to announce that Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) from Pakistan joined us as an institutional member. LUMS, established in 1985 as a not-for-profit institution dedicated to providing world-class management education, has since evolved to become a research university offering over 30 degree programmes at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels through its five schools of Business, Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Engineering, Law and Education.

Academy DTEK is an open educational business platform that enhances the competitiveness of Ukrainian business in the context of global change through training and development of specialists at all levels. Academy DTEK was established in March 2010 as a corporate university of DTEK, largest energy generating company in Ukraine. The main goal was to develop talents within the company. CEEMAN is proudly presenting a new member of our community, joining CEEMAN as an institutional member this summer. GISMA Business School, the German International Graduate School of Management and Administration, was founded on the initiative of local companies and former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder in 1999. Since 2013, GISMA belongs to the international education group Global University Systems.

We are happy to announce that a new institutional member from Poland joined CEEMAN this summer. University of Social Sciences is the largest private educational institution in Poland, with more than 25 years of experience. They provide high-quality education to students from all over the world. The University offers a wide range of Bachelor's and Master's programs in major cities in Poland and in the branch campus in London. Their offer also includes MBA and PhD studies and a unique American Master’s degree program in cooperation with Clark University.

CEEMAN is happy to announce that CEEMAN Board Member Prof. Antonio Freitas has been elected a member of the World Academy of Art & Science. Founded in 1960 by a group of scientists and intellectuals, WAAS is today made up of over 600 members from diverse cultures, nationalities and disciplines, chosen for being a reference in the art, social and natural sciences and the humanities.

Last Friday, the 20th edition of CEEMAN's flagship IMTA-International Management Teachers Academy concluded in Bled, followed by a special anniversary event to recognize the impact IMTA has had on its alumni. This year’s generation of IMTA was a particularly diverse one with 38 participants hailing from 19 countries, representing 30 institutions from four different continents.

The 20th edition of CEEMAN's flagship IMTA-International Management Teachers Academy has kicked off in Bled, Slovenia on 16 June. Over two weeks, 38 participants from 19 countries will have a chance to improve their teaching skills, methods and materials. The program continues to expand its outreach and impact with six of the 30 higher education institutions represented this year participating for the very first time.

The 6th PRME CEE Chapter regional meeting took place at Corvinus University in Budapest from 30 - 31 of May and gathered participants from Croatian, Russia, Poland, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Hungary.

We invite faculty members and researchers to showcase their work at the traditional CEEMAN poster session related to the overall theme of the 27th CEEMAN Annual Conference: Management Education for a Changing World, taking place from 25 to 27 September 2019 in Wrocław, Poland.

CEEMAN and IEDC-Bled School of Management hosted first ISSUE project workshops from May 20th to 23rd 2019. Project partners meet in Bled, Slovenia for the workshops focusing on case writing and integrated reporting, two topics which are an integral part of the whole project.

There are numerous individuals in our network, who inspire us all with their outstanding achievements. Some are already well known and respected, some are still stars in the making, but all of them deserve recognition. Therefore, we are once again looking for new CEEMAN Champions in the fields of teaching, research, responsible management education and institutional management.

We are glad to announce that the registration is now open for the 27th CEEMAN Annual Conference. The event will take place in Wrocław, Poland on 25-27 September 2019 in cooperation with the Wrocław University of Economics (WUE).

In June, CEEMAN is conducting its 20th edition of IMTA-International Management Teachers Academy, developing a new generation of management educators for a new generation of leaders. The Academy will be followed by a special event, welcoming everyone who is interested in faculty development and academic and professional collaboration.

Thirty-eight participants from 25 institutions and 12 countries came to Bled this week to attend the Program Management Seminar organized by CEEMAN.
