On August 6, a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation was held between the Ministry of Defense of Georgia and the authorized higher education institutions in Georgia. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Kakha Shengelia, President of Caucasus University and the International Association of University Presidents, who signed the memorandum.

University of Pretoria has appointed Executive Director of Faculty, and Senior Lecturer, Dr Morris Mthombeni as Interim dean of the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS). He will commence the role on 1 July 2020. Mthombeni will fulfil this role until such time that a permanent dean is appointed following an extensive and exhaustive process by the University of Pretoria. In the meantime, he will work with Professor Nicola Kleyn, the outgoing dean, who steps down at the end of June for a post at the Rotterdam School of Management, in the Netherlands, to ensure a smooth leadership transition.
