The Center for Advanced Studies in Management (CASiM), the international and interdisciplinary research center of HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management for business administration in the 21st century invites applications for competitive doctoral scholarships. The scholarships are founded by the Friede Springer Foundation that continues supporting excellence in research at the CASiM Graduate School since 2013.

We are pleased to announce that Seán Meehan, The Martin Hilti Professor of Marketing and Change Management at IMD Lausanne, has joined the Board of CEEMAN. We look forward to working with Seán and are confident that CEEMAN will greatly benefit from his unique knowledge and experience.

Business school alumni earn increased compensation, exercise enhanced purchasing power, consistently climb to the executive ranks, and give overall high marks to the value of their education in driving their professional success, according to new research findings from more than 12,000 graduate business school alumni surveyed by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The results of the 2015 Alumni Perspectives Survey Report offer a global snapshot of employment and career progression for graduate business school alumni representing the classes of 1959 through 2014.

The Graduate Management Admission Council’s assessment of application volume trends for graduate management programs offers timely insights into demographic shifts and other factors defining the candidate pools for the 2014 application cycle. Responses collected in the 2014 survey represent a record-breaking total of 748 MBA, specialized business master’s (non-MBA), and doctoral programs from 314 universities around the world.

Aiming to promoting the knowledge exchange between the academy and the market, ISAE (Brazil), La Trobe Business School (Australia), Audencia Nantes School of Management (France) and Hanken School of Economics (Finland), release another edition of the CR3+ Conference. It will take place on 11-12 November 2015 in Curitiba, Brazil and welcomes paper submissions.

On 11 February, Almaty Management University (ALMA University), former IAB, was glad to present the opening of seminar "The introduction of mobile learning in Kazakhstan: The combination of the British experience and capabilities of Kazakhstan", which was organized within the framework of a new intergovernmental Kazakh-British grant program. Let us recall that ALMA University is one of the first Kazakhstan organizations, which received a "Newton - Al-Farabi" program grant - to promote mobile learning in Kazakhstan, including a training seminar of scientists of the two countries.

As of January 2015, Olga Veligurska has been appointed as Director of CEEMAN.
