I listen to the pulse of life in my own family, in the immediate environment, in my country and in the whole world. It is certainly unsettling - first, and foremost, due to the uncertainty that is plaguing the majority of the people on our planet who have been gripped by the unpredictable aftermath of a terrible virus. I am rethinking and trying to develop a system of personal perception of what is happening and of adequate conscious actions.

On April 10, 2020 CEEMAN and IEDC-Bled School of Management received a donation of 700 face masks from a CEEMAN member School of Management, Zhejiang University (SOM ZJU) in Hangzhou, China, of which some were personally donated by the Dean Prof. Jiang Wei, and Associate Dean for Research and International Affairs Prof. Weihua Zhou.

As Coronavirus causes the usual delivery of programmes around the world to be disrupted, we at The Case Centre are working hard to support the case community through this period of uncertainty. We appreciate that making the move to teaching online quickly will be a huge challenge for many, both technically and pedagogically.

If we had been asked a month ago whether we at CBS International Business School could switch to online teaching within a week, we would have laughed out loud. But we did it! In just one week, we succeeded in turning our entire teaching process upside down! In the first two weeks, we were able to offer its students over 800 online lectures – and the lecture hall moved to the living room.

Early this year the COVID-19 outbreak seemed too distant to worry. The Ukrainian Government imposed quarantine measures on March 12. The MIM-Kyiv decided to move online. It took only three days to restart the activities.

In line with the state of emergency declared by the Latvian Government on March 12, 2020 all onsite activities in educational institutions have been suspended. On March 15, the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga) crisis plan was launched with the aim of protecting the wellbeing of students, faculty and staff, meanwhile ensuring the continuity and high quality of our activities in non-ideal circumstances. We are actively seeking ways to further improve online activities and provide the best learning experience to our students.
