EQUATION: Advancing Gender Equality in Higher Education The Erasmus-funded EQUATION project (EQUality through accreditaTION) is a collaborative initiative spearheaded by CEEMAN, in partnership with IEDC Bled School of Management, Vistula University, Riga Technical University, and WSB University. The project addresses persistent gender equality challenges in higher education, particularly within business schools. EQUATION seeks to dismantle systemic and cultural barriers that hinder the recruitment, retention, and career progression of women, while also integrating gender perspectives into quality assurance and accreditation processes.

The 31st CEEMAN Annual Conference, titled "Leadership for a Sustainable World," took place at Almaty Management University (AlmaU) in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from September 20 to 22, 2023. The proceedings of the conference encapsulate the rich discussions and insights from this prestigious event. Attracting approximately 120 attendees from various nations, the conference emphasized the importance of sustainable leadership in rapidly evolving societies.

The 30th CEEMAN Annual conference took place on 21-23 September 2022 in Bled, Slovenia at the headquarters of CEEMAN and IEDC-Bled School of Management. The event entitled "The Future of Management Education: Understanding the Big Picture" boasted a host of engaging panels, discussions and, among other things, a unique AI performance in which the arts meet the CEEMAN members' vision for the future.

It is a pleasure to share with you proceedings of the 2021 poster session within the 29th CEEMAN Annual Conference in Trieste, Italy. Taking place for the first time in hybrid format – with some of the authors being with us in person in Trieste and others joining online from different corners of the world – it was a truly fascinating and inclusive experience.

The 29th CEEMAN Annual conference took place on 22-24 September 2021 in beautiful Trieste, Italy as well as online. It discussed the topic of Management Education at the Crossroads and altogether hosted more than 150 participants from 30 countries around the world.

CEEMAN members joint under the ISSUE Project on Sustainable Solutions for Higher Education Institutions have published the second part of the Methodology Handbook providing a selection of freely available Teaching Case Studies and Teaching Notes dealing with various areas of sustainability.

Springer Publishing House has published a new book on Hidden Champions, based on a study conducted in 22 countries around the world (including China and Mongolia) coordinated by CEEMAN and IEDC-Bled School of Management.

The 28th CEEMAN Annual conference took place on 23-25 September 2020 in an online format. The big CEEMAN family gathered in order to search for Ideas and Inspiration for Management Development from Fields Beyond Management, the topic of this year's event. The conference took place on an award-winning MiTeam virtual collaboration and learning platform and over the course of three days hosted more than 150 participants from 36 countries around the world.

The publication presents a summary of responses of CEEMAN member schools in the first wave of COVID-19, prepared by Arnold Walravens.

Last week we bid farewell to Dr Janez Stanovnik, former President of Slovenia (1988-1990), recipient of the Doctor Honoris Causa at IEDC-Bled School of Management, and a frequent guest speaker at many international conferences. To commemorate Dr Stanovnik's life and remarkable achievements, we are sharing his contribution from the 2013 PRME Summit in Bled.

The 27th CEEMAN Annual Conference took place in Wroclaw, Poland on 25-27 September 2019, co-organized with the Wroclaw University of Economics, an important center of education, science and research in Poland.

CEEMAN Manifesto "Changing the Course of Management Development: Combining Excellence with Relevance" was published in September 2018 as a call for a balanced and relevant management education. Manifesto in Short is a more succinct version that might help to better understand the principles of relevance and excellence in teaching and research, and to apply them.

The 26th CEEMAN Annual Conference took place on 19-21 September 2018 in Prague, Czech Republic. The event, bearing the title "Redefining Management Education: Excellence and Relevance”, was hosted and co-organized by University of New York in Prague.

The focal point of this edition of CEEMAN News is the 26th CEEMAN Annual Conference: it gives you a comprehensive overview over the events and festivities that took place in Prague on 19-21 September 2018.

We are pleased to share with you a report on CEEMAN activities in the academic year 2017/2018. It was a successful year for CEEMAN, with some great breakthroughs in terms of international research and publications, while our flagship programs continued attracting interest from participants all around the world.

Officially launched at the 26th CEEMAN Annual Conference in Prague, the CEEMAN Manifesto “Changing the Course of Management Development: Combining Excellence with Relevance” marks an important milestone for CEEMAN and its members: it is a publication and call to action at the same time, seeking to encourage management education institutions to examine their mission and strategy and determine whether both excellence and relevance are sufficiently featured in those.

The Lead4Skills research partnership lead by CEEMAN is proud to present the project outcomes including The Cross Country Report on Management Development Needs, Guidelines for Management and Leadership Skills Development and a Teaching Case Study Collection. All materials are openly available for use.
