The 31st CEEMAN Annual Conference, titled "Leadership for a Sustainable World," took place at Almaty Management University (AlmaU) in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from September 20 to 22, 2023. The proceedings of the conference encapsulate the rich discussions and insights from this prestigious event. Attracting approximately 120 attendees from various nations, the conference emphasized the importance of sustainable leadership in rapidly evolving societies.

The monograph addresses critical aspects of sustainable performance: its measurement, reporting and management. It consists of fifteen chapters written by authors from various countries. The reference to the current regulatory framework, international context, and cross-sectional analyses hopefully makes this work valuable and interesting for broader stakeholders.

Since 2018, the KROK Business School has been a participant in the ERASMUS+ MEDIATS project, the goal of which is to transform society through the development of the institution of mediation. Together with the Universities of Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, KROK Business School acquires the best European practices in the field of mediation and conflict management in order to create a culture of mediation and provide quality education in mediation. One of the results of participation in the project was a new collection of publications "MEDIATION IN PROGRESS", which contains articles of both academic and practice-oriented nature, presenting achievements in the use, teaching and popularization of mediation in the countries participating in the MEDIATS project.

In their new book, Dietmar Sternad (Professor of International Management at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, IMTA alumnus and CEEMAN Teacher of the Year 2021) and Harriet Power (an experienced editor who has worked for leading educational publishers) provide useful advice for writing a thesis or dissertation.

In March, the new monograph was published in Elgar Handbooks in Development series, in which leading scientists from around the world present the state-of-art within the field, drawing a comprehensive picture of the issues raised. The latest publication in this prestigious series, "Research Handbook on Measuring Poverty and Deprivation," is co-authored by an employee of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business, professor Marek Kośny.

We are happy to share with you the first research paper on ChatGPT/AI impact on Management Theory. It has been written by many authors who are editors of CEE-based scientific journals as well as CEEMAN members. The primary purpose of this research paper is to examine how generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) such as ChatGPT may serve as a new context for management theories and concepts.

The 10th issue of the SBS Journal of Applied Business Research has been published. Submissions for the 11th issue are welcome. The deadline for submissions is May 15, 2023.

The 30th CEEMAN Annual conference took place on 21-23 September 2022 in Bled, Slovenia at the headquarters of CEEMAN and IEDC-Bled School of Management. The event entitled "The Future of Management Education: Understanding the Big Picture" boasted a host of engaging panels, discussions and, among other things, a unique AI performance in which the arts meet the CEEMAN members' vision for the future.

A professional scientific journal with an economic and social profile, published continuously since 1956. The journal "Research Papers of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business" is currently a quarterly and all articles are published in open access model, in accordance with the double-blind review process. The aim of this journal is to provide a forum for the publication and dissemination of original research findings on economics, finance, and management.

Brad Googins and Philip Mirvis have just published new book Sustainability to Social Change: Lead Your Company from Managing Risks to Creating Social Value. It makes a case that business needs to move beyond sustainability and “shared value” and take leadership in social change.

Faculty of Business and International relations of Vistula University has published a new book on Self- Management, Entrepreneurial Culture, and Economy 4.0 - A Contemporary approach to organizational theory development.

Deniss Ščeulovs, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management (RTU) of Riga Technical University, together with Niek Ploegman, Research Lecturer at the Rotterdam Business School, has published the book «A Starting Point for Successful Business». It is the first textbook written in Latvian for creating a successful start-up. The book is available free of charge to all interested parties on the RTU e-book platform.
