It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lyubov Yakovleva, an active member of CEEMAN and a respected pioneer and leader in management education. Born on May 16, 1953, in Donetsk, and passing on February 6, 2025, in the Moscow Region, Lyubov’s influence in higher education spanned more than four decades and left a lasting legacy. Lyubov was among the first to establish undergraduate management programs in her region, helping shape the future of leadership education. After earning her degree in Economics from Donetsk State University in 1975, she obtained a PhD in Labor Studies in 1986 from Moscow Regional Pedagogical University. Her career led her to key roles, including Assistant Professor at the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology (1988–1993) and, later, Deputy Rector and then Rector of the Institute of International Business Education (1992–2013). Under her leadership, the institute became a recognized center of excellence in leadership and business studies.
